jamarchAt the start of the new year dedicated fans of Don Dem were taken aback when their favorite Canadian based dancehall and reggae group started delivering various solo projects, but their fear were soon appeased when Don Dem explained that the group remains very much a strong unit exploring their different creatives sides.
One of the latest project comes from Don Dem’s group member Bob Da Builda with “The Fixtape” featuring 13 blazing tracks. With an adult themed undertone, Bob’s solo effort also features collaboartions with Kirk Diamond, Olaf HD and Tristan FiveStar.
Thus far the “FixTape” has been well received by both his group members and fans, with Bob eager to now share it with the world. “The whole idea of doing a mixtape was brought to me by my team member Kirk Diamond and it was also a challenge to my self to see how well I could do on my own.”
The prolific artist added “The “Fixtape” consists of hard core lyrics, humor, true stories and topics. I admit that i had doubts about the finished product because I stood on my own, felt off to not hear my group members kirk Douglas and Olaf HD voice on every other verse or chorus, but the feedback that I’m getting from Toronto did pretty well. I could have used more tracks but being superstitious 13 is my lucky number.”
