On Sunday May 15, Bookohilipa, the Official Bookstore of the Asante Adonai Literary Lyme, hosts the Lyme’s second precursor event.
The afternoon, dubbed: “Prelude 2 – Pre-Lyme, Post-Script – an Open Mike event”, is open to the public, and will be held at Bookophilia, 92 Hope Road, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m.
With poets Sabriya, Royal African Soldiers and others expected to perform, the organiser of the Asante Adonai Literary Lyme, Dr. Leachim Semaj, says he believes in “sharing the joy, [to} give those persons who will miss the Lyme, an opportunity to share the good vibes to be had when you are washed by words”.
The official launch, held on Sunday May 1 at Bookophilia, saw the likes of Paula-Ann Porter, Fae Ellington, Bert Samuels and others, entertain guests with works from books that inspired them.
With the launch as an indication of what is to come, the Open Mike event on Sunday May 15, promises another taste of what will be served at the literary feast on May 22, and treat the symptoms of those suffering from Post-Calabash Withdrawal Symptoms (PCWS).
