The Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, this afternoon (Oct 25) swore in the Cabinet Ministers and other Ministers of Government at a ceremony at King’s House.
In his remarks following the appointments, Prime Minister Andrew Holness said that the Cabinet reflects the capacity of the representatives in Parliament and it also represents hard work, innovation and the new direction in which he plans to chart the government.

“The Jamaican people want to see decisive, instrumental and quick action because their challenges and problems are urgent. In striking that balance you have to contend with a limited learning curve so you want to have change, but you certainly do not want to have chaos in change and we have managed, I believe, to strike that balance,” Prime Minister Holness said.
The first Cabinet meeting will be held tomorrow morning (Oct 26) at 10:00.
