Jamaica and the Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall in Montego Bay are set to host the fourth annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am “Annie’s Revenge” presented by NIKE GOLF, December 2 – 6, 2009. Thirty-eight teams comprising of three amateur golfers and their course professionals will tee off competing on two of Jamaica’s best golf courses, Cinnamon Hill and White Witch. The week includes 54 holes of competitive golf, gala receptions and the opportunity to vie for a $10,000 professional prize purse.

The Jamaica Tourist Board recently inked a two-year deal with the presenting sponsor, NIKE GOLF, to help share the great Jamaican golf experience and to raise its profile with both leisure and business travelers. In affirming its position as a premier golf destination, Jamaica was honored as the “Golf Destination of the Year for the Caribbean and Latin America” at the recently held International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Malaga, Spain.
In addition to the diverse golf experience, players will be treated to a taste of all things Jamaican at five stations spread throughout each course. An island favorite, Scotchies, will provide its world-famous mouth-watering Jerk chicken. Jamaica’s own Red Stripe, will quench the thirst of golfers along the course. Massage therapists’ will be on hand to relax and rejuvenate players while staff armed with refreshing Evian mist will travel the course in search of overheated competitors and Margaritaville will also be providing on-course hospitality.
