Staff WriterRising reggae artist Protoje who recently delivered a show stopping performance at the Coral Cliff resort in Montego Bay is looking forward to his next assignment in the west. Protoje will be one of the featured acts on the next Negril One Love Reggae Concert winter series show which will also feature reggae star Tarrus Riley. This event will be held at the Negril Escape resort in Negril on the 16th of February 2010.
“This will be my first show in Negril and I want to give the people something to remember as I want to make a lasting impression on them. Therefore I have been rehearsing a special set with my band for this show. We are going to rock Negril in a serious believe mi”, said Protoje.
Since his emergence on the local music scene last year Protoje has been creating a buzz with singles such as Arguments which was released last year and his most recent release Dread which was produced by ace producer Donovan Don Corleon Bennett, which is currently enjoying a lot of presence on the airwaves courtesy of top disckjocks such as DJ Sunshine and DJ Wayne of IRIE FM and ZIP FM’s ZJ Liquid, ZJ Rose and ZJ Elektra. Protoje is also working on several other soon to be released projects with Don Corleon.
