From back in the days, “King Waggy Tee” got his respect for being the “wickedest selector” by showing his knowledge of music and the way he could keep a party going straight through the night untill the morning. He has showcased his ability to make the transition from Dancehall to Soca to House to Rap, R&B & Slow Jams. He boasted the ability to keep the dance floor going without any interruptions or long talking on the microphone. Back then, it was all about MIXING and BEAT MATCHING. This was an annual contest where the audience judged the criteria of a selector’s ability including BEST SELECTIONS, BEST STYLE, BEST EXECUTION & BEST PERFORMANCE for the night. This event was comparable to the likes of World Clash. The winner was crowned KING for that year. He also clashed & played alongside sounds like Body Guard, David Rodigan, Afrique, Inner City, Metro Media, Addies, Bass Oddysey, Stone Love, Renaissance, Poison Dart, Tony Matterhorn, Black Chiney, Code Red, Richie D and more.
