Jamaica 2 RAHTID is the still funniest comedy on the Jamaican theatre scene today. Jamaica 2 RAHTID has been playing to appreciative sold-out houses at the Barn Theatre in New Kingston and will make the trip New York this Mothers Day weekend after four sold-out performances in South Florida in March.

Jamaica 2 RAHTID is a scintillating musical revue which takes a funny look at Jamaica’s state of affairs. It is a potpourri of colorful Jamaican characters, presented in a creative collection of sketches and songs covering a wide range of social, cultural and political issues.

There is something in this production for everyone in the family.

Jamaica 2 RAHTID boasts a cast of top Jamaican actors. This dynamic cast includes popular comedy actors Deon Silvera, Dahlia Harris, Christopher Daley, Christopher McFarlane and Everaldo Creary who recently won the Prime Minister’s Award for Arts and Culture. It is a delight to see all these fine actors on stage together.

Written by the prolific playwright Aston Cooke, Jamaica 2 RAHTID is directed by the multi-talented Michael Nicholson. Grub Cooper of Fab 5 is responsible for the musical component while Orville Hall choreographed the movement for these musical numbers.

The production comes to Queens on Friday May 12, and then plays in Brooklyn on Saturday May 13, it closes its New York appearances with a Mothers Day show on Sunday, May 14.
