Reebok Grand Prix Media Reception, April 28, 2008, New York

WHAT: Reebok and Reebok Grand Prix event manager, Global Athletics & Marketing, in association with media partner Irie Jam Media will host a special reception for the media on Monday, April 28 at The Jamaica Consulate Office in New York City in preparation for the Reebok Grand Prix 2008 coming to New York on Saturday, May 31 at 5:00 p.m.

This year’s Reebok Grand Prix features Jamaica’s Olympic gold medalist, Veronica “VCB” Campbell-Brown. Other world class athletes include World Junior 200-metre record-holder Usain Bolt, Chinese world record holder Liu Xiang, USA sprint star Tyson Gay as well as teams from Calabar High School (with Ramone Mckenzie, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400), St. Jago High School (4 x 100 and 4 x 400 featuring sprint stars Yohan Blake & Nickel Ashmeade) and Herbert Morrison High School (with Dexter Lee, 4 x 100 and 4 x 400).

The Reebok Grand Prix track & field (stop off on the road to the Olympics) event begins at 5:00 p.m., May 31, 2008, at Ichan Stadium, Randall’s Island, and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and taped delayed in CBS.
