Jamdammers Running Club of Kingston, organizers of the Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K, has announced a new partnership for overseas on-line registration with the United States based company GetMeRegistered.com (GMR), ahead of the staging of Reggae Marathon 2014.

According to Race Director Alfred “Frano” Francis the new registration partner “will help to make the process for overseas participants more efficient” and the GMR site is frequently used by runners who have given it a good rating. He said runners also “like that the transaction fees are lower and they are not bombarded by ads for other events and other race related information which may slow down the on-line registration process.”

He added that the customary Reggae Marathon on-line registration will remain for local entrants as it has proven to be effective.

Francis also announced that registration is now open for the 2014 event for both local and overseas participants who wish to get an early start. The Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K will be held on Saturday, December 6 in Negril.

GetMeRegistered.com has been operating for 25 years and “is an independent event registration service whose goal is to deliver simple, flexible, and effective online registration.” It is a sister company of OnLineRaceResults, which is used by Reggae Marathon to post its confirmation list and race results.
