Riding the musical waves of success since the release of his “Victory” EP, Reggae star Nesbeth hasn’t rested on his laurels. The artist has been hard at work sharing his musical vision with reggae music lovers worldwide. From his latest “Taste Victory” video featured on MTV Iggy, to receiving stellar reviews from prominent website Reggaeville, Nesbeth has become a musical force.
Nesbeth recently had the pleasure of doing an interview with popular lifestyle magazine Triple The Focus and spoke of the journey which has taken him to his “Victory”. Here is an excerpt of the upcoming December 2014 issue:
Born as Greg Nesbeth in one of Jamaica’s toughest garrisons known as Arnette Gardens, music has always been his way to communicate and provide comfort in regards to the social injustice taking place at home. Throughout is childhood music has always been a medium to express the rough times taking place at home.
Triple The Focus: You have given reggae music fans some great music but then we didn’t hear much from you. Did you take a break and if so why?
Nesbeth: No, I didn’t take break. I was just going through a phase but with the help of my new management, Entertainment Soul Ltd, everything is now shining brighter than before.
Triple The Focus: Congratulations on signing with your new label. How did that come about?
Nesbeth: I met Eccentrik, the CEO of Entertainment Soul whilst doing an interview; she is also a presenter, and I guess she saw something in me. It was one of those chance meetings that changes my entire life and just like that within a few months I started working on my EP.
