Panel topics have been announced for the full day of interactive and informative enrichment for the Reggae Music industry. Top industry representatives will be announced for their participation in each panel / workshop.

HOW TO GET AIRPLAY WITHOUT GETTING PLAYED- A GUIDE TO RADIO AND TELEVISION PROMOTION
A frank discussion about the reggae entertainment media will address the various forms of radio and video outlets available to our industry today. Topics of the discussion include how to submit your material and solicit airplay, legit radio promotions versus payola, etc. Panel will include reps from College, Public, Satellite, Brokered, and Commercial radio)

WORKSHOPS: THE LATEST IN STUDIO SOFTWARE (PROTOOLS, ETC.)
Representatives from Pro-Tools will demonstrate the latest in studio software and answer your questions. IMPORTANT: Due to limited seating attendees should sign up for this workshop in advance. The goal of this panel is to help you understand what you should and shouldn’t expect of key business relationships.

MARKETING & DISTRIBUTION IN CYBERSPACE
An in-depth look at how digital delivery can increase your bottom line. Discussion will address the economic opportunities that are available including downloads and ringtones. Panelists will also discuss the benefits of using the internet to market your act to talent buyers and promoters.

REGGAE ‘NOMICS: A THINK TANK
Advances and changes in the entertainment industry as a whole have opened up new opportunities. But, first we need to define ourselves as an industry. How can we parlay the grassroots popularity of reggae into an economic reality without watering down our spirit and integrity? With vinyl fading fast and CD singles not being cost effective, what will determine a hit single in the future? From the simple to the sublime- this will be an open discussion about where we want to take our industry in the next 5 years.
