Yumojah Records has launched a promotional campaign to promote a single by its recording artiste Easi B entitled ‘Buss Now.’ The single released a few months ago shows signs of “doing well” in the market place so management has taken the decision to increase promotion in order to enhance the potential of the song becoming a hit. The video for the single entered Video Alley Top Ten chart aired each Saturday on Television Jamaica (TVJ) while plans are afoot for other promotional activities to take effect in Jamaica.
Easi B is no newcomer, over the years the artiste/producer released a number of songs namely ‘I’ve Been a Fool’ on the Juggling label his first single, a 4 track EP entitled ‘Return to Class’ featuring ‘Boyz in the Hood’ on the YPG label, ‘Blessed Be the Rock,’ ‘Moses’ and two tracks on Jet Star’s ‘Riverbash’ compilation album called ‘Give Me a Heart,’ and ‘Just like a River,’ ‘Prophecy’ on Jetstar’s Charm label, distributed by SONY, ‘Rock On’ on the same label and ‘Guns and Roses’ on the Potential label between 1998 and 2006.
However March 2002, Easi B found a runaway hit entitled ‘Blackman History’ on the Potential Label which shot to #1 and held the spot for six weeks on Choice FM Top 20 Reggae chart and peaked at #3 on Echoes, Reggae chart in London. Choice FM, branded on-air as London’s Choice, is a brand used by the UK’s biggest radio company, Global Radio for its network of black music radio stations and was Britain’s first 24 hour black music radio station covering South London.
Yumojah Records is an independent label owned by Easi B. The single, ‘Buss Now’ is one of two singles released in 2010 on the label. ‘Buss Now’ is the evolution of Easi’s musical career and an expression of his current state of mind as it relates to the business.
