Regular flights by Aerogaviota Caribbean airline for the route Havana-Santiago de Cuba-Kingston were inaugurated (Aug 27) with an official ceremony at the Norman Manley airport in the city of Kingston.

The ceremony was attended by ministers Morais Guy (Transport, Works and Housing) and Damio Crawfort (Tourism and Leisure), as well as other representatives of the Jamaican government, Prensa Latina reported.

Yeni Larrahondo, general manager of the agency Caribbean and Latin Travel Consultant Ltd, Aerogaviota representative in Jamaica, also attended.

This route will help strengthen the bonds of friendship and bilateral cooperation, said Yuri Gala, Ambassador of Cuba in Jamaica, referring to the importance of this new air service between the two Caribbean countries.

He further explained that this creates favorable conditions for the development of multi-destination tourism between Cuba and Jamaica, as the two nations will be linked with three weekly Aerogaviota direct flights (Monday and Tuesday the route Havana-Santiago de Cuba-Kingston , and Wednesday the route Havana-Holguin -MontegoBay).
