PHILADELPHIA – The Penn Relays got under way on Sunday morning with the running of the annual distance classic. A pair of former Penn runners won races, one in the 20k and one in the 5K. It was a blustery and sunny morning as the runners got underway on 33rd St, just outside of the historic Franklin Field. The 20K race was the first to get underway, and despite battling both opponents and wind, former Quaker Brian Lang was the first 20K finisher to enter Franklin Field and make his way around the track to the finish line.
