Jamaica’s most loved pot-still rum line Rum-Bar Jamaica, is the official spirits sponsor for the much-anticipated return of Sting. This iconic dancehall event known for its legendary clashes is expected to attract between 15,000 to 20,000 dancehall and reggae lovers from across the island on December 26, Boxing Day, at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove, in St. Ann.

With the need to keep patrons “buzzing” for this all-night event, the opportunity presented itself for Rum-Bar Jamaica to become the major spirit sponsor for Sting. It was an opportunity that they couldn’t say no to.

Tamika West, Marketing Manager of Worthy Park Estate, the maker of the flagship brand Rum-Bar proudly shared, “It’s been an honor to be a part of such an iconic event. Sting has been number one on the roster in the dancehall community during Christmas for over 30 years. We are happy to see it return and wanted to be a part of that legacy.”

Rum-Bar’s portfolio of spirits comprises its leading brand Rum-Bar White Overproof Rum, a traditional blend of three un-aged rums at a 63% ABV, Rum-Bar Gold Rum, a rich Jamaican aged rum that is delicious, neat or mixed, Rum-Bar Rum Cream, Rum-Bar Silver, all distilled using a 100% copper pot-still, and Rum Bar Vodka: Classic and Green Apple flavors.
These brands will be offered on sale throughout the night.
“Since the summer, being a part of bigger events has worked well for us on a whole. Our beloved Rum-Bar is made right here on Jamaican soil and we’re happy it has become a household name over the years. We want to continue to build and grow our reach in the market.” She continued.
Rum-Bar will also have a viewing deck where their specially invited guests will be able to experience the show away from the crowd.
Of the partnership, The Greatest One-Night Reggae & Dancehall Show on Earth, Sting’s conceptualizer Isaiah Laing says, “We’re happy that Rum-Bar has come on board and will be there to serve the patrons! It’s going to be an epic night!”
Rum-Bar is offering a giveaway of two pairs of tickets to the event and access to their viewing deck. Follow @rumbarjamaica on Instagram and Facebook for more.
