It’s been seven years since Sadiki’s “African Queen” from his “Lifeline” album topped the BBC Worldbeat Reggae Chart. At the time he was contacted by UK promoters seeking to book him, yet the right opportunity to travel to the UK remained elusive.
That will all change on May 23rd when the singer/songwriter/producer touches down on British soil for a one month media tour in support of his June 1 scheduled album – “Blue Mountain Acoustic”.
The tour will promote “Blue Mountain Acoustic” through radio and television interviews in key cities such as London, Birmingham, Ipswich and Luton, there will also be an official UK album launch and concert in Streatham and a concert in Gillingham. Performing alongside Sadiki will be UK Smooth Jazz and Reggae artist Helen Rogers, who has had major Billboard success and also released her debut album “Smooth Jazz Meets Reggae” via Sadiki’s Skinny Bwoy Records label.
“I’m looking forward to meeting and performing for my English fans”, said Sadiki. “They as well as the radio jocks have supported my career over the years.
The artist and his team are also looking into other territories within which to spread the word about “Blue Mountain Acoustic”. “So far the response to the album has been tremendous, so we’re just juggling a few options to see what is best”, he stated.
“Blue Mountain Acoustic” is currently available for pre-order on iTunes, Amazon and GooglePlay. Physical CD’s can also be pre-ordered from the Skinny Bwoy Records website at www.skinnybwoyrecords.com.
