The Savanna-La-Mar Primary School in Westmoreland is to be given a face-left soon, as the institution has received 10 gallons of paint from Edgechem Jamaica Limited.
Managing Director of the company, Doreen Frankson, handed over the paint at the official opening of the company’s new paint store in Savanna-La-Mar, on March 22.
Member of Parliament for the constituency and Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Hon. Roger Clarke, who was guest speaker at the ceremony, was also presented with 15 tins of assorted paint for work in his area.
Speaking with JIS News, Principal of Savanna-La-Mar Primary School, Ms. Paulette Coote, expressed appreciation to the management of Edgechem Jamaica Limited for the “very timely” gift, which she said would be used to enhance the beauty of the school.
“We were happy to have participated in the opening ceremony for the new establishment in the town of Savanna-La-Mar. We are very thankful to Edgechem as we were contemplating finding extra funds to purchase the paint for our back-to- school preparations to meet the new school term,” she said.
