Sherieta Asks ‘How it so easy’

‘How it so easy’ is the latest single released by Reggae Singer and Songwriter, Sherieta. Produced by Shane Brown for Juke Boxx Productions on the Sweet Wata Riddim, the single is in complete contrast to the love ballads for which Sherieta is fast becoming known.

‘How it so easy’ is what many would define as social commentary as it examines issues which were once societal taboos. It tackles the frequency of crime and the fad of children’s involvement in ‘adult’ conversations and activities by commenting on how society has “close(d) our eyes to the tings dat make God mad.”

This latest single is yet another step towards Sherieta’s sophomore album which is slated to be released later this year. The Island Star Recording Artiste also has several singles which is now enjoying a creditable amount of airplay on both local and international radio. The singles include ‘Come Find Me’, ‘Best Friend’ and her signature single ‘Reggae is Life’ which were all produced by renowned local Producer, Donovan Germain on the Penthouse Label.

Since the release of the song, Sherieta has been identified as a great personality for self esteem building projects. This has resulted in her being booked to perform at events such as Mr. & Miss Charley Smith and at the Homestead Place of Safety scheduled for May 5 and 13, respectively

The artiste who this week returned to the island from Europe where she opened for and performed with Duane Stephenson at the Rotterdam Reggae Festival in Ahoy, Netherlands and the Rockers Rockers Rockers Festival in Paris, France, remains largely busy in studio, working assiduously on her album.

Additionally, she has a cadre of dates confirmed for upcoming performances. Chief among them is a ‘Sherieta: Red, White & Gold’ a Live Concert scheduled for Red Bones on May 27.
