Shortage of Jamaican patois interpreters causes mistrial in Toronto..Should they ask Mayor Rob Ford?

This is not a joke. Two Jamaicans  accused of being drug smugglers remain unable to stand trial for the past 3 years because of a shortage  of Jamaican patois interpreters in Toronto. This is surprising as there is an estimated  170,000 Jamaicans there. Toronto Mayor ,Rob Ford, seems to be well versed in Jamaican patois, maybe they should ask him to interpret.   Here is a question for the Jamaican critics who say Jamaican patois is not a language…Why is there need for an interpreter if Jamaican patois is not a language?
