Singer/Songwriter, Trevor Hall, will perform in Lake Tahoe inside the MontBleu Theatre at MontBleu Casino Resort, Sunday, March 27, 2011.
Trevor Hall is a young singer-songwriter, whose sunny, reggae-infused pop sound draws equally from folk, reggae, and hip-hop. His gritty vocal style has been compared to Dave Matthews, and his uniquely spiritual approach to pop music has earned him comparisons to Bob Marley.
Trevor has worked with such producers as John Alagia (John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews) and The Laboriel Brothers (Sting, Paul McCartney), has appeared at the famous Lollapalooza festival and has toured with such acts as Stevie Nicks, Jason Mraz, The Wailers, and Ben Harper. Trevor is a musician’s musician, as exemplified by Colbie Caillat who claims “Trevor has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.”
Born in South Carolina and raised in California, Trevor Hall developed an affinity for summery acoustic music, from the beachside ambiance of Jack Johnson to the leisurely stroll of Bob Marley. Having spent his teenage years at a boarding school for the arts, Hall dedicated his life to music upon his high-school graduation. He self-released Lace Up Your Shoes in 2004; two years later, the teenaged Hall prepared for his major-label debut with Geffen Records. The Rascals Have Returned, an introductory EP produced by John Alagía, featured a soothing mix of reggae, folk, and roots rock. Hall continued to tour, performing shows alongside the likes of Ben Harper, Matisyahu, and the Wailers. He also returned to the studio to record a self-titled sophomore album, which emphasized the artist’s reggae influences upon its release in 2009.
Trevor’s music is an unconventional mix of acoustic rock and reggae that serves as a vibrant landscape for his thought-provoking, inspiring lyrics.
