You are cordially invited to the South Florida launch and reception: a presentation of Dr. Basil Bryan’s Epic publication, “The Jamaicans Children of God in The Promised Land.” which presents his compelling personal stories and of our journey defining the strength and indomitable spirit of our people as immigrants in the United States of America and other lands.
An eloquent spokesman for Jamaica, a compelling and well documented historian and avid sportsman, Dr. Bryan will speak of his personal experiences gained as the longest serving Consul General to The New York and 38 other states from 1998 to 2007, and as Deputy Chief of Mission (Deputy Ambassador in the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC. Dr. Bryan has been honored and recognized repeatedly for his work in in forging many beneficial relationships, and treaties between the Jamaican and Caribbean communities and the African American People.
Please join us in the City of Pembroke Pines at City Hall in the Glass Gallery on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 12:00PM to 5:00PM for an ode to Jamaica and Jamaicans a fitting tribute to close out Black History month 2014 as we pay tribute to our Jamaican Heritage.
