-Harbour View FC are first in the overall standings of the DPL on 14 points; with an unbeaten record of 6 games played; 4 wins and 2 draws.

Harbour View Football Club, Nicknamed the Stars of the East, currently play home fixtures at Harbour View Mini Stadium on the banks of the world’s seventh largest natural harbour.

Founded along with the Harbour View community in the 1960s, the professional club, Harbour View FC, was officially formed on March 4, 1974. Then, 25 years later, the club was incorporated as a limited liability company; the first Jamaican football club to do so.

In fact, Harbour View FC has developed a reputation as football leaders in Jamaica in many ways. The Stars of the East became the first club to have an official website, gain sponsorship from Adidas, and were the first to build a world-class football stadium. They were also the first locally based club to secure a Million Pound Sterling transfer for one of their players. That player was the legendary Ricardo ‘Bibi’ Gardner who had debuted as a starter at just 14 years of age for the coastal colossi.

They are also first in the overall standings of the DPL on 14 points; with an unbeaten record of 6 games played; 4 wins and 2 draws. The shooting stars of the east also lead the way in goals-having netted nine times already this term.

Donovon Hayles, a member of Harbour View’s coaching staff is well aware of his clubs tradition of firsts, and wants to keep the streak going as he said: “The longer we go unbeaten is the more confident the players get and the more dominant we can be in the competition”.

Harbour View FC, The Stars of the East, continue to sparkle in the Digicel Premier league.
