As an Association representing the interests of thousands of Caribbean Americans in Florida and beyond, we recognize the need for our nation to address the importance of fixing a broken immigration system for the direct benefit and interest of family reunification and our continued economic recovery.
Immigrants have been the backbone of this country and continue daily to contribute to the success of this great nation. While it is estimated that there are 11 million undocumented aliens in this country, there are also several hundred thousand people who are separated from their loved ones due to the broken immigration system that exists in America today.
To that end, the Caribbean Bar Association is prepared to unleash our organization’s relationships and resources to collaborate and cooperate with our elected officials, community stakeholders and partners in pursuing legislation that will forge a path to residency and subsequent citizenship for undocumented persons, securing our borders, and facilitating a business environment to access the best skilled labor and talent for our recovering economy.
The Caribbean Bar Association is committed to providing our professional expertise and community knowledge in this critical national dialogue in developing an immigration system that reflects our values and diverse economy.
