Multi award winning Toronto based reggae Steele is receiving a lot of love on the Jamaican airwaves with his hot new single “One More Chance.”
In a release the singer says he has been getting a lot of feedback out of Jamaica from friends and fans who says they have heard it on several radio stations.
“I must say thanks to all the radio personalities who continue to share my music with the listening audience,” he said adding that the single is also getting some buzz in London, New York and in Canada.
Produced by music genius Computer Paul, Steele says his inspiration in penning the song was a mixture of personal experience and observing some great relationships going bad.
“To be honest I did not want this to happen to me. I personally messed up badly, and I saw where it was really hurting my woman. It got to the point where just as the song says..She would smile but I couldn’t tell if she was just pretending .. So I did what I had to make it right..Now wi good again,” recalled the singer.
Coming out of a busy summer where he headlined many Caribbean festivals across Canada, Steele is now back in the studio putting the finishing touch to his new album which he expects to be completed real soon.
He is also getting ready to shoot music videos for a couple of tracks that will be on his upcoming album.
The singer recently teamed up with Fam Records CEO Fitz Morrison known for staging events featuring singers such as the Manhattans, Percy Sledge and the Ojays. Morrison who promoted a lot of plays out of Jamaica and concerts decided to take a closer look at the recording end of the business.
“Fitz has been a fan of mine for many years, and he’s someone I’ve also known and respected in the community for a long time, so when he decided that he wanted to launch a record label, and that he’d love to have me on board, I was more than happy to be a part of the team,” said Steele.
