Studio Caribe TV To Share Caribbean Stories With The World

Caribbean television programmes are going to reach a much wider international audience with the launch of the region’s newest Internet television portal before the end of the year.

Barbados-based start-up Studio Caribe TV, one of the Bimventures family of entrepreneurs, is capitalizing on the popularity of  Internet television and will soon distribute Caribbean content to global audiences.

“The future of broadcast and distribution is online right now,” said social entrepreneur and filmmaker Sanna Allsopp, explaining that users will experience Caribbean life portrayed through documentaries, comedy, music and film.

Bimventures ‘shepherd’ Yvonne Armour reported the site (www.studiocaribe.tv) will “produce and acquire stories which will inspire debate, and reinforce the value of the Caribbean within the global village.” She asserted that under Allsopp’s leadership, Studio Caribe TV offers a “cost-effective multi-platform solution from which thought-provoking, entertaining Caribbean stories can be shared by using cutting edge technology.”

Allsopp in turn believes that the Bimventures’ Shepherding Model support system has been crucial to the development of Studio Caribe TV: “Bimventures is a venture capital company with a difference. They have enabled us to follow our passion, which is to empower, entertain and inform.”
