The American Foundation for The University of the West Indies (AFUWI) continues its fundraising efforts with Summer Groove 2010, featuring Reggae Singer, Ky-Mani, son of Reggae legend Bob Marley on Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum located at 145 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn New York at 6:30pm.

The economies of Caribbean nations have been hit hard by the worldwide recession. Students in the region who are served by the University of the West Indies (UWI) are consequently experiencing hardship in meeting tuition costs that average US$3000 for the school year and other related expenses. At this time, the need to fundraise for needy students becomes imperative and their best hope for aid.
