TEMPO pulls up and brings you the long awaited ‘Pull Up Selecta,’ a new one-hour show debuting on Saturday, June 3rd at 9 P.M. EST and hosted by the one and only Jabba himself.

Each week, Jabba and a guest DJ will keep the pulse throbbing with only the hippest artists, rockin’ beats, and most dance worthy rhythms in Hip Hop, Reggae, and Dancehall music, all while kicking it in the latest, trendiest Caribbean duds to hit the streets.

In one hour, Jabba will give you Underground Riddims – music videos by up-and-coming local island artists that have caught our host’s ear – as well as Big Six Flexa, a segment highlighting the best of the newest DJs, sound systems, and artists.

But Jabba also lets you get a new taste of old favorites with 45s when he spins dubplates – exclusive remixes or unreleased recordings – of top hits. In Forward Forward Pull Up Dat, Jabba will introduce you to the latest rhythms and dance moves to hit the clubs, and in Jabba Say Dat, our host will handpick five of the hottest new tracks to play for you. Once a month you can look forward to Reasonings, when sound systems will drop by to battle it out live on set.

“Tempo will always aim for the extraordinary – nothing ordinary – and Pull Up Selecta is right on the money, aimed at exploring the interplay between Dancehall, Reggaeton, Ragga Soca and Hip Hop and the power of the sound system, Pull Up Selecta will represent the voice of the massive. And Jabba, a real ambassador of the music is the right man to do it,” commented Frederick Morton, SVP and General Manager of Tempo.
When he is not in the studio producing tracks with artists such as Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Junior Gong, to name a few, Jabba can be found working the radio on Hot 97.1FM NYC (On The Reggae Tip) with the rest of the Massive B family, and on Sirius Satellite Radio (Reggae Riddims) Ch. 32.

“On The Reggae Tip” is currently the highest rated Reggae/Calypso Show on the radio in New York. Jabba is also the driving force behind Massive B Sound System and Record Label, and with his critically acclaimed acting debut in “Shottas” and ever-crowded promotion parties, he is easily one of the most popular faces across media genres. But now the most in-demand main man Jabba wants to hang with you on Pull Up Selecta!

Signature Sponsors for Pull Up Selecta are BMobile Cable and Wireless and Heineken.
