If you didn’t know that quote came from Joseph Goebbels, you might think it originated with Donald Trump.
He is using time tested principles developed by Freud’s son, Edward Bernays, and refined by Hitler’s propagandists, to mesmerize America’s low-information electorate.
So when you hear Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen (photo) claim that criminals are using children to get across the US border, be skeptical, be very skeptical.
What an elaborate theatrical production that would be!
I bet that idea originated in some propagandist’s fertile imagination. They’re hard at work as I write this blog.
And the lies keep on coming.
They’re saying the separation of families isn’t new. They’re saying it’s mandated by legislation enacted by Democrats. They’re saying only Congress can end the heinous practice.
How? By accepting Trump’s racist immigration “reform” proposal and funding his absurd wall.
They’ve even come up with the preposterous notion that the toddlers you can hear crying in audios from those internment camps are really “crisis actors.”
Nielsen has become the face of the Trump administration’s practice of separating children from parents who seek asylum at the US-Mexico border.
To me, she fits the part perfectly. Doesn’t she look like the ideal immigrant under Trump’s plan?
Trump makes no secret of his contempt for immigrants like me. And he seems to have a lot of support among the American people. His latest approval rating is 45 percent.
Is this a terrifying sign of what’s to come?
As the propagandists ply their toxic trade, poisoning the minds of the masses, should I fear for my safety in the America of the future?
