The Bronx Concert Singers Honor Noel Dexter and Celebrate Jamaican and Caribbean Culture (New York)

On Friday, May 14, 2004, at 8 pm, in celebration of the dynamic cultural heritage of the Jamaican and Caribbean communities in New York City, the Bronx Concert Singers will present a gla concert honoring the lifetime achievements of Jamaican musicologist, composer and choir director Noel Dexter. Professor Dexter and his wife, award winning soprano, Beverly Dexter, will be in attendance to receive this well deserved tribute. The event will take place at the Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture at Hostos Community College, CUNY, at 450 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY. General admission is $25 while student tickets are priced at $15. All tickets are available at the box office at 718 518 4455. The gala concert has received the support of Jamaica’s Consul General to New York, Dr. Basil K. Bryan, who is patron of the event and the Union of Jamaican Alumni Association.
