On Thursday, August 16, 2012, 8:00pm, the 5th Annual South Florida Film Festival Kicks off with “The Heart of Summer” produced by local film makers iNation Films a division of Steadyimage Interactive Media and Driven Networks a division of GRB Media works.
“The Heart of Summer” appropriately captures the unique and urban twist on the quintessential love story. It is the inspiring story of a young man’s soulful journey to rediscover love through friends, family, and faith.
“The Heart of Summer” is the captivating tale of “Omari”, the young man who writes a book on his amazing summer experience after returning home from college. His experiences have transformed his identity. Upon returning home, “Omari” visits his family church where previously he had a brief encounter with “Naomi”, a hauntingly attractive young woman. The pair of them shared an instant and natural connection. “The Heart of Summer” explores this strong bond and its inevitable complications.
“The Heart of Summer” stars critically acclaimed actor, Paul Campbell, as a traditional minded and strong willed father. Also starring local actors Tesh Beckham and Lex Kelly-Meade, “The Heart of Summer” is a modern portrayal of young love and its innocence.
Locally filmed and directed by Adrian Allen, adapted from a story by Ray Balgrove and screenplay written by Tedric Huff and Mark Bridge, “The Heart of Summer” showcases the wealth of up-and-coming independent filmmakers in South Florida.

The South Florida Film Festival (SFFF) was created to bring together artists who have a passion for filmmaking, and seek to find an opportunity to showcase, and distribute their film.
