The world premier of May 2010 a humorous and gripping dark romantic drama written and directed by award winning Jamaican playwright Joel Miller.
May 2010 unearths a story about, love, sex, war and drugs in Kingston, Jamaica where power corrupts and religion thrives. Maylinne who returns to her Jamaican boyfriend Paul after her business marriage in the U.S.A is caught in the middle of the civil unrest in Jamaica where 73 civilians were killed, when the United States demanded the extradition of Christopher “Dudus” Coke. She is also caught up in the family drama of Auntie Barlay who has been deported from the U.S at the same time.
Told in a rich and lyrical river of words this play is poignant, and filled with witty, sharp humor.
