Full of fun fashion and drama is what you will come to expect from the “THE NEXT BIG TING” an evening of high Caribbean inspired fashion and music. The event is produced by Heart to Heart Production. This is slated to take place in Toronto on Sunday, September 30, 2007 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Jamaican Canadian Association.
As fashion merges with music, organizer of the event Charlene Fagan-England, a Jamaican born fashioner designer, said it is her greatest project yet. She uses this opportunity to launch her clothing line, “F.R.E.E. at last” a line of easy to wear clothing. This show is expected to draw over 500 patrons from a wide cross section of Ontario, mainly from the West Indian community.
The evening will feature live entertainment by one of Jamaica’s leading female artistes Nadine Sutherland who made her mark on reggae music since she was a little girl back in the seventies. Also performing will be two time – JUNO award nominee Wayne Passion, a Jamaican-Canadian. The Mistress of Ceremonies will be the illustrious Elva Ruddock, with her comedic antics, also arriving from Jamaica.
Entertaining and energy-filled, the show will feature other local designers, all with Caribbean roots. Each will be displaying their exciting fashions for fall 2007 and spring 2008. Hoping this will be an annual event, it promises to be an unforgettable experience.
