The Miracle Tabernacle Free Town Church of God of Prophecy located in Clarendon are once again embarking on its two main projects for the year.
Come Friday, August 12 the church will be hosting the annual Back To School Treat which will see the outreach arm of the church helping to alleviate the needs of kids in the community and surrounding environs.
A lot of parents have been laid off work, some are not working and they are all faced with the mounting challenges of getting back to school supplies for their children.
The church is therefore reaching out to fellow Jamaicans both here and overseas to help make this project an overwhelming success.
We are requesting all things school related – notebooks, dictionaries, lunch bags, backpacks, pens, pencils, water bottles, bibles, geometry sets, crayons, rulers, sharpeners, erasers, colouring books etc.
We expect to be catering to about 300 – 400 children ages ranging from three years old to 16.
Interested parties can either respond to the appeal on jamaicans.com or send an email to treat organiser, Cecelia Campbell-Livingston at [email protected].
