The first annual Womanfest Trelawny ‘09 will take place in Jamaica from September 11, 2009 to September 13, 2009! Proceeds from this one of a kind, “whole life expo” will provide academic
scholarships for girls and boys in the Trelawny Parish and support programs for pre-school children through the Trelawny Early Childhood Education Commission

The official Jamaican Premiere of the film, Sankofa, staring internationally-acclaimed, performance poet, Mutabaruka.
This film was shot on location in the Trelawny Parish nearly twenty nears ago! Featuring Guest Speakers are Mutabaruka and Hasinatu Camara, two of the film bright stars! Workshops about Entrepreneurship, Stress Management, Manifesting Dreams and Goals, Poetry as Healing, Do-it-Yourself Internet Marketing and Promotion for Artists and Small businesses, and more!
Cultural and Holistic activities and demonstrations including African Dance, Reiki, Yoga, Massage, and Holistic Eating.Live Entertainment and Art Exhibitions from a talented assortment of Jamaican artists and visiting talent from the United States.
