On Saturday, March 22nd, 2014, the St. George’s College Old Boys defeated the Jamaica College Old Boys in 2 competitive games to claim the 2014 Ziadie Cup. It was their 8th Ziadie Cup win since the tournament began 10 years ago. The St. George’s College over-40 team beat the Jamaica College over-40 team 1-0 in the Grand Masters match. In the Under-40 Masters match, St. George’s College and Jamaica College team played to a 1-1 draw. The Ziadie Cup trophy was awarded based on an aggregate score of both matches with St. George’s College winning 2-1.
Wolmers won the opening 6-a-side soccer tournament to claim the True Blue 6V6 trophy. It is the second year of the tournament which included the following teams: Wolmers, Manchester High, Kingston Technical High, Calabar, Kingston College, Excelsoir High, Jamaica College and St Georges College.

The Montego Bay High School Alumnae defeated the Convent Of Mercy Academy “Alpha” Florida Chapter to emerge as the winner in the Grace Kennedy Remittance Services/ Western Union All Girls Schools Alumnae Penalty Kick-off. The competition was fierce taking 3 rounds to determine a winner. Participating schools included: Montego Bay High School Alumnae, Convent Of Mercy Academy “Alpha” Florida Chapter, Immaculate Conception High School Alumnae Association, The St. Andrew Old Girls’ Association Florida and St. Hugh’ s Alumnae Association of Florida. Grace Kennedy Remittance Services/ Western Union will make $100 cash donation to the winning school and $50 cash donation to the second place school.
Legendary Jamaican coach, Winston Chung-Fah, who last year received the FIFA Order of Merit, was in attendance at the True Blue Soccerfest . Also present was Jamaica Consul General Franz Hall, a Jamaica College alumni.
Old classmates and friends from high schools in Jamaica were able to reunite and enjoy a fun filled weekend at the 10th True Blue Weekend . Over 1,200 people attended the 3-day True Blue Weekend event, including the annual Ziadie Cup at the state-of-the-art soccer facility at Vizcaya Park. True Blue fans were treated to a weekend of fun, friends, food and exciting soccer matches.
