UNION OF JAMAICAN ORGANIZATIONS PRESENT SUMMER BASH: A FUNDRAISER FOR JAMAICAN INDEPENDENCE

(Atlanta, GA) – The UNION OF JAMAICAN ORGANIZATIONS IN ATLANTA (“UJOIA”) under the auspices of Attorney Vin Martin, Jamaica’s Honorary Consul in Atlanta announced that the organization will be hosting an event called “Summer Bash.”

Summer Bash will be held at the Alpharetta Clubhouse 10150 Groomsbridge Road, in Alpharetta, GA. Music will be provided by Changez International Disco and DJ Tony Randall. The event is a fundraiser for the Jamaica Independence activities that occur annually in Atlanta to celebrate Jamaica’s Independence on the 6th of August.

The Union of the Jamaicans Organizations in Atlanta was created by the Consulate to bring together the various Jamaican organizations in Atlanta so as to have a unified and official effort by Jamaicans in Atlanta to commemorate important events such as Jamaica’s Independence.

Jamaica first gained independence on the 6th of August in 1962.
