Uncle Jonny’s studio musicians and music collaborations read like a galaxy of stars out of an Orthodox Reggae Bible.   That’s what you get when you listen to his music.  He gives you that real authentic reggae sound and feel with a voice that is smooth and relaxing.  

Uncle Jonny’s musical roots are set in reggae, and after a number of years, he has branched off with combinations with quite a few top reggae artistes including Sizzla, Gyptian, Agent Sasco, and Luciano, who was part of a great song called “Move Over.”

After the catchy “Jamaican Girls,” he is back on track with his fourth album.  On Uncle Jonny’s new album entitled “GET REAL,” the liner notes show a ‘dream team’ of musicians including Rough Cut Band, “WormBass,” Squidly Cole, Bongo Herman and Dean Fraser.    

What makes Uncle Jonny stand out is his raw talent.  He is a singer, a drummer, and a great songwriter.  His lyrics are full of messages that carry a positive vibe, keeping you grooving and thinking all in the same beat.

He has proved himself to be a talented performer in Canada, and now Uncle Jonny has decided it’s time to ‘Get Real’ about his music in Jamaica.  The Deck, 14 Trafalgar Road, will come alive on Thursday, August 22, when he launches the album “GET REAL.”  He will perform live with backing band ‘Ball A Fire’ alongside special guest artistes Sizzla and Luciano.
