A galaxy of classic Reggae Stars will deliver sparkling performances at the inaugural presentation of the Vintage Reggae Winter Fest, scheduled for Sunday, February 19, 2012. Miramar Regional Park, located at 16801 Miramar Parkway in Miramar, Florida will be the home of this highly anticipated event, which is already creating an early buzz among reggae enthusiasts in South Florida.
The undisputed Queen of Reggae, Marcia Griffiths, is the lone female leading a list of seasoned performers which includes Freddie McGregor, Yellow Man, Leroy Sibbles, Charlie Chaplin, Professor Nuts and Little John. Each performer is a star in their own right with hits dominating the charts from the sixties to the nineties. Veterans such as McGregor and Griffiths have been able to maintain a string of hits through the years, keeping them current with today’s generation.
Promoters of the event, Above Average Entertainment and Pool Players Passion, are making meticulous efforts to ensure that the inaugural staging of the Vintage Reggae Winter Fest delivers a memorable and enjoyable experience for patrons at each stage of the event. Every detail, from purchasing tickets, entry to the park and special hospitality service areas at the venue are getting extraordinary attention that will set the event apart from other reggae festivals
Early bird tickets are currently on sale for $22.00 until January 14, when they will increase to $30.00. A VIP package is being offered for $60.00 which includes parking and refreshment. Tickets are available online at www.aboveaverageentertainment.net or selected Caribbean outlets in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
A limited number of food and novelty vendor booth spaces are available as well as sponsorship opportunities for corporate companies wishing to connect with the thousands who will attend this exceptional rare treat of reggae, rock-steady and dancehall classics on President’s Day weekend.
