Virtual Book Tour Showcasing Jamaican Woman Authors Announced
A group of Jamaican women and authors from around the world have banded together to organize a virtual book tour. The virtual tour will showcase books published by these authors.

The authors who are predominantly from the Jamaican diaspora and are based in different countries, including parts of Africa, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, United Kingdom and the United States of America, have the desire to share their literary work and stories with larger audiences.

Speaking of the tour, Mrs. Jennifer Richards-Wilson one of the tour’s organsiers said: “I believe in the power of collective action. During this activity, we will communicate, collaborate and bring our creative and critical thinking skills together to cause a greater impact in our families and communities.”

What Is a Virtual Book Tour?

“When you go on a “virtual” or “online” book tour, you can stay in the comfort of your home but hop virtually between blogs, podcasts, webinars, e-magazines, radio shows and live streams on social media,” says Dr. Stephanie Fletcher-Lartey, one of the authors participating in the tour.

The tour begins officially on July 19th and will run to the end of October, and attendance is free for anyone who wish to attend. The schedule for the virtual tour can be viewed at https://bit.ly/VirtualBookTour
