Poetry in Motion, Jamaica’s premier feast of the performing arts, celebrates our 18th annual renewal on Sunday, February 28th, 2021. In view of the COVID 19 Protocol and attendant restrictions, Poetry in Motion 2021, shall have a virtual staging with an intimate audience, a Live Broadcast and Live Performances from Manchester Golf Club, Mandeville, Sunday, February 28th, 2021.

Poetry for Charity at Poetry in Motion – PiM
 

We are poised and ready to reaffirm PiM’s enviable status as the longest running and most successful annual Poetry Festival Event in the history of Jamaica and the Caribbean. We continue to provide Clean Intelligent Fun for the Entire Family and Community in support of charity. This year’s charity is Friends in Need and as per usual, as it is from our very inception, we shall present our charity cheque on stage during the event.

While we wont have our usual full-house audience, due to COVID 19, we still aim to have an interactive and intimate audience for our virtual staging as we bring the vibes to energize our /Broadcast Live Stream Performances from Manchester Golf Club on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 from 3pm to 5pm featuring Benjamin Zephaniah, Professor Rupert Lewis, Stephen Wise (Stevie Wonder’s Musician-singer), Leighton Smith, African Fashion, Martin Matthews, Dr Charmaine Gooden-Monteith, Viv Morris Brown, Mark StephensonKa’BuMikaya and Yasus Afari + PiM 2021– Golden Tongue Awardees.

As we build on the momentum of a very successful Jamaica Poetry Festival in August 2020, with over 100,000 views on social media, Poetry in Motion 2021 can be viewed on JTvRYouTubeFaceBook & Zoom, facilitating what is expected to be our largest Poetry in Motion audience to date, as we celebrate and share our diverse literary and cultural artistry with the global community, through the healing touch of Poetry and the Performing Arts – brought to you by SenYAcum Edutainment.

We look forward to your highly valued Support as we present top quality Jamaican Edutainment featuring Music Dance, Comedy Storytelling, Fashion and Poetry for Jamaica, the international community and the world at large.
