If anyone should know the importance of a single vote, it’s Al Gore. He lost the Presidency by just 537 votes when the Supreme Court scandalously froze the Florida recount 16 years ago.
Speaking at a Hillary Clinton rally in Miami yesterday (photo above), Gore declared:
Your vote really, really, really matters. You can consider me as Exhibit A on that truth.
Gore warned that your vote this presidential election is crucial to the preservation of the planet. He said:
The choice in this election is extremely clear. Hillary Clinton will make solving the climate crisis a top national priority. Her opponent, based on the ideas that he has presented, would take us toward a climate catastrophe.
With the stakes this high, votes matter even more than usual. And with early-voting returns signaling a historically low turnout, each vote will mean that much more.
So do your part to save the planet. Vote. And vote for Hillary. Don’t throw your vote away.
As Gore reminded the Miami audience, he knows from bitter experience how much damage environmentalists can do by voting for a third-party candidate. Ralph Nader’s bid for the presidency helped lose him the 2000 election.
We can’t let that happen again. Not with all that’s at stake!
