The World African Diaspora Union (WADU) is inviting all to attend the WADU community forum now changed to Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia. The main speaker for the forum, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is in Venezuela for the funeral of President Hugo Chavez. McKinney is in Venezuela with a delegation of leaders representing African people and nations across the world.
As you aware, President Chavez made his transition on March 5, 2013 after years of struggling with cancer. President Chavez is an iconic and exemplary leader who resisted imperialism throughout his life and has fought for the poor and the oppressed across the world including those in the USA, Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. WADU sends its condolences to the people of Venezuela during this sad moment in our history and will with other Pan Africanists continue to honor, support and advance the Bolivarian revolution as an integral history and heritage of the sacrifices of the Haitian people for the freedom of Africans and all humanity.
Our speaker, the Honorable McKinney is a high caliber human rights leader who has also fought against global racism, oppression, imperialism and the impoverishment of our communities in the USA and across the world. Her message will come at a time when the USA, western Europe and some Arab states have escalated military attacks across Africa under the pretext of promoting “humanitarianism” in Africa. Also, her message will coincide with major questions relating to the use of drones in the USA and across the world for military warfare. The forum is a State of the Black World agenda focusing on the U.S. Attacks against Africa and Black People.
The Saturday, March 16, 2013/3:00 p.m. forum with former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney at the VICARS Community Center will also feature other key leaders of Georgia. Vicars’ location is 838 Cascade Road, Atlanta, Ga.30310. For more information on the Georgia forum, please contact Mr. Kofi at 678-614-9058.
