WADU-NC Community Forum, December 15, 2012, North Carolina

The World African Diaspora Union (WADU) is inviting all to attend the WADU-NC Community Forum on December 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at The Mary Townes Science Building, 1900 Concord St. North Carolina Central University  Durham, North Carolina. The Forum theme Pan Africanism and the African Renaissance is in cooperation with the promotion of the African Union 2013 theme to celebrate and mobilize all people of African descent to push for Africa’s economic, political and cultural empowerment in the 21st century.
 
The featured speaker for the forum is the renowned Dr. Leonard Jeffries, President of WADU and former professor of Africana Studies at City College of NY (CUNY). Before becoming the President of WADU, Dr. Kweku Jeffries worked with stalwarts of the Pan African Movement such as Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr. Cheik Anta Diop, and Dr. Asa Hilliard. Other leaders from across the African Diaspora will also make presentations.
 
WADU was established by the “Legendary” Ambassador Dudley Thompson and other Pan African leaders in 2007 and is now considered one of the foremost Pan African Diaspora organizations with a coalition of leaders and an umbrella of organizations representing the global African Diaspora. It will embark on its next mission to Africa in January to press forward with the African Union an agenda to strengthen the Diaspora relationships with Africa, as integrated and reunited family for peace and prosperity.
