New York Entertainment Movement Inc will be staging an event on July 5th, 2008 dubbed Western Bembe Invasion to be held at Rickie’s Motors, Negril Spot, Westmoreland. The intent of New York Entertainment is to promote a version of the Kingston based Bembe Dancehall event which is one of the hottest weekly events in Jamaica. As such the event will feature several members of the Bembe Squad Razz & Biggy, Richie Feelings, Jigzy & Penny Bling, along with top Dancehall acts Bounty Killer & Ninja Man. The event will also feature two of the most popular radio personalities ZIP FM’s Nikki Z & IRIE FM’s GT Taylor along with his GT’s Aggregation Soundsystem and Western owned sound Hard Rock. There will also be a dance contest open to all dancers, the top three winners of the contest will benefit from cash prizes and trophies.
Western Bembe Invasion will be different from other parties in many respects. This event will be a high quality production in a secured environment with premium bar and restaurant services provided at affordable prices. It will provide an excellent opportunity for the brands to connect with the consumers in an environment where it controls the experience and delivers a high impact experience. We expect that with our exciting lineup of top Dancehall artists, selectors & radio personalities our event will attract thousands of patrons.
