What’s the Story Behind Those Harassment Charges?

According to Herman Cain, Herman Cain has never acted inappropriately toward anyone in his life. Herman Cain insists Herman Cain is the victim of a conspiracy by… well, let’s see … Herman Cain is not so sure. It could be rival Rick Perry’s campaign crew or the Democratic machine or … whoever. They’re all out to get Herman Cain because Herman Cain is black and because Herman Cain is conservative and because Herman Cain has the nerve to run for president – according to Herman Cain, anyway.

I don’t know whether you have ever acted inappropriately toward anyone in your life , but if you haven’t, you’re a mighty rare bird – especially if you’re male. But hey, Herman Cain is – well – Herman Cain and he is a mighty rare bird for sure.

All Herman Cain ever did was to mention in passing that Karen Kraushaar (photo above, right), then one of his employees at the National Restaurant Association, was the same height as his wife, and she collected $45,000 in an “agreement” after accusing him of sexual harassment. That’s Herman Cain’s story, anyway, and he’s sticking to it.

According to Herman Cain, Herman Cain has never even laid eyes on his latest accuser, Sharon Bialek, the Chicago woman who says he groped her in 1999 when she sought his help getting a job. Never laid eyes on her in his life!

So what about Chicago radio host  Amy Jacobson’s claim that she saw Herman Cain and Sharon Bialek together at a Tea Party event last month? Jacobson said the two “briefly embraced,” and the woman whispered something in Herman Cain’s ear.

According to Herman Cain, Herman Cain has no memory of that event so Jacobson must be part of that vast conspiracy that wants him out of the Republican presidential nomination race.

Unless…

Unless Herman Cain is a big fat liar. Unless he is so shameless that he can look the world in the eye and deny the obvious.

Obvious to me, anyway.

I mean who in their right mind would fear Herman Cain as a political rival?  Certainly not the Democrats. Not even the bumbling Rick Perry, who stumbled again in last night’s debate when he couldn’t remember the third major point in his three-point plan to save America. (Ron Paul tried to help him out- click here for the video.)

You have to ask yourself why four women – so far – would expose themselves to the harsh glare of the media if they did not feel so gravely wronged that they wanted closure at any price.

One woman might do it for money, another for political advantage. But four?
