Will The Jamaican Athletes Deliver?

The results are in for two of the most anticipated races (for us at least) in the track and field trials for Team USA – the Women’s 100m and the Men’s 100m finals.

We now await the results of the 200m finals to be held on June 30 and July 1 respectively.

The 2012 National Senior Championships for Team Jamaica will be held from June 28 – July 1, 2012 at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Outside of the third place excitement from Jeneba Tarmoh and Allyson Felix, there really was nothing much to write home about. Unless the male athletes are reserving their sub-9.80 times for London, they will be of little competition to the Jamaican sprinters.

We wanted to see more from Team USA this weekend.

COCK MOUTH KILL COCK

Just in case Team Jamaica falls off the sub-10.00 wagon, we will wait until after July 1 to make any predictions whatsoever.

Will Usain Bolt deliver? Or will Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake  give him a run for his money? After all, he did rake in over US$20 million in the past 12 months.

One thing is certain, this coming weekend will be one to either celebrate, or remembered as the weekend that was.

Something tells us there is an upset brewing.
