World Cup Finals To Be Shows Live At Merritone Family Fun Day, July 11, 2010, Connecticut

As the organizers did four years ago, The World Cup Football Finals will be shown live this Sunday, July 11th at the 13th annual Merritone Family Funday, Lake Quassy, Middlebury, Connecticut.

Event CEO, Conroy Allison is aware of the keen interest by fans in this year’s World Cup Soccer finals between Spain and the Netherlands and the importance of showing the event live on a big screen TV at the Merritone event.

“Our supporters are extremely passionate about the Family Fun Day and many of them are big football fans…showing the World Cup Finals is a key element this year” Allison disclosed.

In keeping with “Football Passion,” the event organizers have also added a Soccer “Juggling” competition for children twelve years and younger.

“We think it’s a good addition to the festivities as youngsters will have a chance to show off their football prowess with relatives and friends cheering them on” Allison said.

Other attractions this year includes the Royal Caribbean Bakery Patty and Bun & Cheese eating contests, The Grace Foods Kiddies’ Dance Contest, The Trans Continental Treasure Hunt, Dominoes and live performances by veteran reggae acts Freddie McGregor and Leroy Sibblies.
