Worthy Park Estate, the first-ever rum estate dating back as far as 1741, was on the road with Gen XS Carnival Jamaica, the Miami-based carnival band, as they unleashed their Return to Paradise experience last Carnival Sunday. The partnership pairs the two brands, offering rum enthusiasts and carnival revellers an unforgettable experience.

Jamaican-made and owned, Worthy Park Estate’s premium multi-award-winning rum- Worthy Park Select, the official Rum partner for Gen XS’s Carnival Jamaica events, such as Immortals J’ouvert, Road March (Carnival Day), Ocean XS & XS Sunset, took place from April 15th- April 17th, 2023.

Worthy Park Select rum embodies the passion and perseverance of Jamaica’s strong community, emulating and celebrating its unique culture and character, admired around the globe. Its smooth and mellow aroma of vanilla, with hints of cinnamon, and tropical fruits present a palate of sweet molasses, a touch of peach and chocolate, and toffee and oak notes that provide a complex and enjoyable drinking experience—that pairs well with all beverages.

Gen XS Carnival is known for providing a world-class carnival experience in Miami and will now be bringing that same experience to Jamaica Carnival. The event(s) features several days of regional and international soca artists, fetes, J’ouvert, colourful costumes, and the highlight of the experience- the official Road March Parade. On Carnival day, patrons will indulge in breakfast accompanied by the Worthy Park Select Rum bar cocktails at the Gen XS hub and keep the spirit flowing onto the streets of Kingston, where tantalising Worthy Park Select mixed drinks will be served across all Gen XS beverage and VIP Worthy Park Select Branded truck all days.

As part of the GENXS Jamaica experience, singer-songwriter Zia Benjamin was able to get dolled up for the occasion using Glam Hub services courtesy of Worthy Park Select at Jamaica Pegasus. The experience includes makeup and hair. Zia opted for Poison Ivy-inspired dramatic eye makeup with a long dramatic ponytail.
Worthy Park Estate’s premium rum portfolio consists of 100 per cent copper pot distilled rum, with Worthy Park Select, a medium-bodied blend with a range of 4-Year-Old to 12-Year-Old rums, aged at the distillery in once-used, American white oak ex-bourbon barrels.
Tamika West, Marketing Manager for Worthy Park Estate LTD, expressed her excitement about the partnership: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Gen XS Carnival
Jamaica and bringing our premium rums to the newest addition to Jamaica’s carnival scene. This collaboration was a great opportunity to showcase our rums to a wider local and international audience and give carnival enthusiasts an unforgettable experience.”
