United For Jamaica(UFJ) Soccer Tournament Fundraiser for Sickle Cell Disease -October 27, 2007, Atlanta

Each year, approximately 1,000 babies are born with sickle cell disease, an inherited blood disorder characterized by intense fatigue and periodic pain episodes. This disease affects predominantly African-Americans, with about 1 in 12 African-Americans carrying the sickle cell trait. Presently, no cure exists.
To raise funds to aid in finding a cure and to better the lives of those stricken by sickle cell disease, United for Jamaica (UFJ), a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life of the African Diaspora, will be hosting its annual Ball or Bust Soccer Tournament Fundraiser. This tournament will occur at 1pm – 6pm on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at REDAN PARK ON THE PHILLIPS ROAD SIDE.

Come and compete in Atlanta’s best 6 men/women tournament. Where teams will compete for the Ball or Bust cup and Trophies, provided by United for Jamaica. Join us with your families and experience a day of Food, Fun and Football as we play the games we all grew up on, Hop Scotch, Ludi, Double Dutch, Marbles and of course Dominos.
